Bronze Medallion

New pre-requisite -Red Cross swim kids 10 or 12 old yrs with Bronze Star. Learn how to respond in complex water rescue situations. The Bronze Medallion course provides both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the lifesaving technique of CPR and emergency care. Course fee includes Bronze exam fee and materials.

Assistant Water Safety Instructor

The basic objective is to improve the participants' knowledge and skills. They will acquire a sense of responsibility and leadership. Fee includes Red Cross registration fee and course materials. Priority registration for Y members up to one week prior to course start. Pre-requisite Bronze Cross.

Bronze Cross

Bronze Cross is designed for lifesavers (age 14 + by end of course), providing more advanced training and an introduction to safe supervision in aquatic facilities. Learn the difference between lifesaving and lifeguarding, the principles of emergency procedures, teamwork and use of special equipment. Bronze Cross is a pre-requisite for National Lifeguard program. Course fee includes Bronze Cross exam fee.

Stingrays Swim Team

Harry & Nina Hart Computer Drop-In Centre
The Nina and Harry Hart Computer Centre is a hub of activity six days a week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday. Free of charge and open to all.
Funded by community and private partners, the computer centre caters to a wide range of individuals, from teens during afternoon ‘drop-in’ hours and Sunday tutoring, to members of the special needs community, seniors, and the kids in the Y day camps, pre-school and daycare.
On Tuesday there is a chess club and on Thursday night, there are volunteers waiting to offer technical support to find solutions to your computer problems.

Weight Training for Teens

A program specially designed to introduce youth to weight training through constant supervision and guidance. Students will learn basic theoritical and practical principles of weight training. *Graduates of the program will be allowed to use the Weight Training Centre. Choose from two convenient times.

The JCC Maccabi Games is a one-week athletic, social & cultural event where kids 13-16 years old meet to compete in various sports in a designated city.
