Description: Since September 1997 the Miriam Home and Services and the YM-YWHA have been involved in a consortium to develop and deliver leisure and recreational services to people who are clients of the Miriam Home. Activities take place at the Y, at the Lori Black Community Centre, Caldwell Residence, Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom, Queen Elizabeth Health Complex and the community at large. We are always looking for new opportunities and the possibilities to increase involvement within the community.

Long Description: The Marlene and Joel King Special Needs Department is a co-operative effort by the YM-YWHA and the Miriam Home to develop and deliver leisure and recreational services to children, youth and adults with special needs and to include them in life at the "Y". Participants registered in special needs groups are charged a membership fee of $45. Youth programs are affiliated with the Bronfman Jewish Education Council of Greater Montreal.
