New Horizons, Online Seniors Program
A free fitness program for ages 55+, classes include balance training,
muscular endurance training, yoga, Tai Chi and more.

November 23, 2020 – March 31, 2021

This new program is designed to bring technology and connectivity to seniors who cannot attend exercise classes due to:

  • Health risks associated with Covid-19 or existing health conditions
  • Lack of mobility
  • No access to transportation
  • Limited or fixed income

Only those who submit an application and are qualified for the program will be able to participate.

If you have difficulty using a computer, ipad or smartphone we will provide the tutoring and assistance that you need to ensure that you can join the program.

Once your application has been approved, we will provide you with a home equipment package that you can use for the duration of this online fitness program.

The online fitness classes include:

  • Strength training basics
  • Mobility and posture
  • Balance and fall prevention
  • Chair Yoga
  • Therapeutic Pilates

  • Laughter therapy
  • Nutrition for optimal ageing
  • Lifestyle and activity strategies for living with chronic pain and/or arthritis
  • How to reduce the risks of cognitive decline

You will be able to watch online lectures both live on Zoom and On-Demand.

A schedule of lectures will be made available to approved participants.
