Meet Wrestler Sam Barmish
Sam Barmish trains at the Eleanor and George Reinitz Wrestling Center. At only 25 years old, Sam placed 7th in the world at 79kg and won a bronze medal at the 2021 Pan American Championships. We are very proud to have him here not only as an athlete but as a Y member since 2000. Just like us, Sam is a big believer that if you want to achieve something great in life you have to work hard for it. We are delighted that the Y is a place that helps our athletes accomplish their dreams.
Honouring Billy Kirsch
We want to take this opportunity to wish Billy Kirsch, a long-standing Y member, who many consider the heart and soul of the Y community and who is infamous for greeting everyone with a whistle and a smile, a Refuah Shlaymah.
